Donna Karan Dresses Barbie for the Runway

Donna Karan may be a favorite among American woman, but she is also perfectly adept at making the dollhouse a bit chicer. Having collaborated on the Donna Karan Barbie at Bloomingdale’s in 1995, Karan will once again be dressing the blond icon. At Wednesday night’s party to celebrate Russell James’ new book of portraits, held at the Stephen Weiss Studio, Karan dished to Glam. “I’m doing a Barbie doll thing right now, I’m designing the coats for her right now,” she said. Karan is among the 50 design talents creating looks for Barbie’s 50th anniversary fashion show, which will take place Saturday, February 14th in Bryant Park.  Will Ken and Skipper attend?
