So he may not be all that into you. So what? Ginnifer Goodwin champions resilience, especially when it comes to romance. Yesterday evening at the screening of He’s Just Not That Into You, hosted by the Cinema Society with Stardoll and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, GlamChic was on the red carpet and caught up with the star of the night, Goodwin, as she shared her insight on love and relationships. Read on to find out her post-breakup remedy and who she thinks is the hottest 16th Century playwright. ~Emily Popp

During your schoolyard days how did you let a boy know that you liked him?
Oh gosh, there was a lot of note passing. Check yes, no or maybe. They didn’t always check yes. I’ve had many a man not be into me.

What’s your standby breakup song?
I don’t do a lot of listening to music after a breakup. Instead, I will call my girlfriends during the actual breakup and say, “Will you please come pick me up and bring me a Starbucks?” And then I’ll spend a week on a friend’s couch crying and eating box after box of cookies And so I guess there’s not really time for music with all the crying.

Who was your fictional/literary crush growing up?
Shakespeare. He is the only one who has ever articulated love.

Gigi, the character you play in the film, seems a bit like Margene from Big Love in that they’re both very effervescent. Did you notice any connections between these two characters?
Oh, interesting. I think where Margene and Gigi cross is that they’re both very optimistic, and they both wear their heart on their sleeves.

Did you relate to that?
I am definitely optimistic, and I’ve learned to wear my heart on my sleeve a little more. Because I used to have friends that would tell me I should present myself as less guarded.
