When they cleared the runway at Jason Wu we got so excited thinking it was a Michelle Obama sighting, but no, it was another leading lady: Anna Wintour, who was among the last to arrive. Editors who had a front row spot last year were pushed back to make room for the parade of editors-in-chief: Elle’s Robbie Myers, Teen Vogue’s Amy Astley, and Style.com’s Candy Pratts Price . Six Vogue editors sat front row with six more in the second. Wintour  popped backstage to greet the designer who was surrounded by cheering models. Front row celebrities like Joy Bryant and Gretchen Mol seemed inconsequential as Wu was the true star. Olivia Palermo arrived last minute and found her way to the second row.

Backstage after the show was pure mayhem as international press, editors and friends clamored to hug the talent. But has he slept? “Not really!” Wu told us. But fret not, there is still time to party and Wu will surely be making the New York Fashion Week rounds. Cheers to him!
