Paris Fashion Week: Chanel

Chanel F/W 2009Chanel F/W 2009

Chanel F/W 2009 titled “Belle Brummell” celebrated Karl Lagerfeld’s love of noir after a largely white spring collection. Along with a devotion to all things black, petal pink, white, and jade were used throughout to add a little je ne sais quoi. The revered brand turned up the fashion barometer by giving its much loved black dresses, white blouses, and bouclé skirt suits a face lift. Models paraded inside the Grand Palais with detachable collars and cuffs, floral appliqués, and a plethora of futuristic accessories only a Chanel girl could pull off. Thoughts on the transparent gadget holding, makeup carrying, purse-toting wonder Lagerfeld created? We think it’s bold, strange, and down-right fabulous.
