What do Woodstock, butterflies, and HP laptops have in common? All were dominant symbols at Vivienne Tam SS 2010. In the jet black space sparkling with camera flashes, a giant screen at the end of the runway flashed on to begin the show with a commercial advertising Tam’s mini laptops. Models were covered in outfits reminiscent of the 1960s and 70s including chiffon butterfly print dresses, suede vests and trousers, and fringe handbags. Taking place for many of the models’ purses were the ever-present Tam laptops which just so happened to be carried like a stylish clutch. Very chichi. The prominent piece in our eyes was a multi-colored sequin jacket modeled by Du Juan (see below). We think it will be a refreshing (and cheery) alternative to your familiar leather bomber. ~ Maria Denardo
