The third floor of Saks Fifth Avenue was transformed into a spectacular garden on Tuesday evening. The department store was in full bloom as Louis Vuitton invited guests to experience a whimsical journey through Le Jardin Louis Vuitton. Lush florals and an abundance of greenery served to welcome the crowd into an urban jungle. Walking through a showcase of 155 years of LV’s crafstmanship and heritage, the crowd, which included host Maggie Gyllenhaal, Serena Williams, and Arlenis Sosa, discovered everything from a wishing tree to a man painting monograms on bags. DJ Sky Nellor spun soulful tunes as the bubbly flowed. The tour, which celebrated the launch of the 2010 Cruise Collection, ended in the new Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear boutique,which is the first of it’s kind worldwide. And to think we thought Central Park was the chicest place to enjoy the city in full bloom.
