Television’s leading ladies definitely played it safe at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards, but there was no shortage of beautiful gowns. Though black was the evening’s dominant color, navy and blush were also quite popular this year. Statement earrings were the night’s must have accessory; we especially loved Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ emerald pair! Glee wins our award for the best dressed cast, and Jimmy Fallon also deserves props for his dapper Tom Ford tuxedos. Here are some of the evening’s winning looks:

Klum rocked her black Marchesa mini to the max. Her sleek updo and sparkling Lorraine Schwartz jewels elevated this sexy look.

Jane Krakowski

The 30 Rock star wore an elegant Escada asymmetrical gown, which she paired with sky high heels. “Tonight I;m not 5″4,” she said. “Emmy is making me stand a little taller.”

Elisabeth Moss

Moss channeled her inner goddess in a custon Donna Karan dove gray Grecian inspired gown, which she accessorized with Chopard jewels.
