Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has only just started and already it seems as if a slew of designers are channeling the 1970s. Alejandro Ingelmo’s Fall 2011 collection of shoes for both men and women celebrates the decade with a contemporary twist. Elegant flats and sexy pumps in camel and blush tones are perfect go-to standbys, while the most arresting heels were silver and gold wedges. One look at these fabulous platforms and suddenly our black heels seem plain jane. Ingelmo’s ingenious metallic leathers take us from the ‘70s and into the future. ~Emily Popp
