#NYFW: Michael Kors Fall 2012
By Nola Weinstein February 16,2012
Texture ruled Michael Kors’ Fall 2012 runway with a collection that was both cozy and chic. Kors went for a rugged elegance with yummy blanket coats, skirts, and ponchos juxtaposed against soft satin and lace. Playing with his signature palette of camel, black, chocolate, ivory, red, and gray, Kors used a variety of fabrics to create a unique balance; leather, tweed and mohair were expertly sculpted. For evening, Kors introduced midi-cocktail dresses alongside liquid gowns. It’s been a big year for the brand and Wall Street needn’t worry—Kors delivered another stellar collection that women are sure to covet.
