Cinderella’s fabled glass slippers are getting a modern-day makeover care of Christian Louboutin. The iconic shoe designer partnered with Disney to weave his magic in a pair of heels fit for a princess in honor of the global release of the “Cinderella” Diamond Edition on Blu-Ray this Fall. The reimagined shoes were unveiled during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in royal fashion, at a party complete with crystal chandeliers, shots from the film, and a ticking clock. The fashionable fantasy came to life in delicate lace covered in crystals, in lieu of glass, and adorned with two sparkling butterflies as well as his signature red soles. Louboutin was honored to be a part of the collaboration and for the chance to add his sense of whimsy to the iconic fairytale.

“The slipper is the magic wand of transformation which conjures confidence, beauty, and love, “ he said. “The dream is a major factor in my language of design. There are no limits in the world of fantasy and there is always a happily ever after.”

As part of the celebration, a few modern day Cinderella’s will have a chance to win a pair out of twenty original slipper created for the collaboration as the movie gets closer to its release.
