Chris Benz‘s Spring 2013 presentation was the place for Hollywood’s favorites to see and be seen at fashion week today. Vanessa Williams, Susan Sarandon (with two puppies in tow), and the Rivers mother-daughter duo were all in attendance to praise the illustrious designer. The collection was nothing short of exquisite, taking major risks with unlikely combinations, as only Benz could: a navy carnation blazer paired with a lacy dress over bright yellow tights, woodsy jewels (from his The Woods for Chris Benz line) against a poppy charmeuse and net tee, boxy silhouettes with an original sensibility thanks to enchanting pops of color. “I am a huge Chris fan,” said red carpet personality and E! Fashion Policewoman Melissa Rivers. “I think he’s just so forward, but the stuff is so intensely wearable. You feel like you’re on the cutting edge but it’s [still accessible] and the colors he’s used this season are just so beautiful.”
