In continuation of recent designer shake-ups, Versus and Christopher Kane have announced their mutual decision to part ways. “I have loved and appreciated working with her and will always be indebted to her,” he explained. “I am excited about the new Versus strategy, but the time has come to dedicate all my focus to the future of the Christopher Kane label.”

The departure comes amidst an entire overhaul of the Versus business strategy. Instead of continuing on the traditional design path, Donatella Versace has plans to create a season-less line and partner with new talent – from designers to stylists to creative. Versus’ future will consist of capsule collections, co-branding projects and limited editions.

With Kane’s decision to leave Versus comes the speculation that he may take over Nicholas Ghesquière‘s former position at Balenciaga, however the designer’s already denied the rumors, meaning the gig is still available!
