Sorry to disappoint, but Alexander McQueen will not be on the Paris Fashion Week schedule this season.

The brand – known for its runway extravaganzas – will scale things down to intimate presentation. The reason? Creative director Sarah Burton, who’s expecting twins, will be on maternity leave at that time to take care of her little ones. A private presentation for 100 editors will be held on March 5th in the city of lights with commercial appointments later that day. It’s one of the many cancellations that have been announced this week as Peter Som also cancelled his show for New York Fashion Week.

Not to worry as a rep for the brand has confirmed that Burton will show for the Spring 2014 season. While we’ll miss the beautiful spectacle, we wish Burton the best of luck with her newborns!
