It’s the eve of a new Adam. Though the designer took a brief hiatus from the style scene. he’s back for Fall 2013. In 2011 Adam Lippes’ eponymous line, Adam was acquired by the brand marketing firm, Kellwood Co. and his designs were stymied under their ownership. In 2012, Lippes officially regained control of his personal brand, securing not only power but also a non compete clause, opening up his business future.

Prior to the acquisition, Lippes was one of fashion’s rising stars and as such his presence was missed. He launched his brand in 2004 and quickly gained the attention of the fashion industry with his perfect white tees and the influential Oprah Winfrey. In 2007 he joined the CFDA and subsequently opened stores in Manhattan, Buffalo, and Pennsylvania.

After a slight deviation in the forward motion of his business, Lippes is officially back on track and returning to Fashion Week for the first time since Spring 2012 in September of 2011. He’s set to present his Fall 2013 collection on February 11th and 12th and we’re thrilled he’s back.
