THE DEETS: On the eve eve of Fashion Week, Barneys invited select online editors to a delectable dinner party at Freds to “Take some time to appreciate this season before you go onto the next one like a bloody hamster on a wheel,” as Simon Doonan so elegantly phrased it. Before the fashion industry gets wrapped up in what we’ll be wearing next Fall, we took a moment to focus on what we’re looking forward to wearing in this Spring. Tomoko Ogura and Doonan walked editors through their favorite trends for the upcoming season: Neo Modern, Desk to Dinner, and Malibu Colony. With his undeniable wit, Doonan charmed the party into genuine giggles as he and Ogura regaled us with their aptly timed repertoire before tucking into our meal – including the focaccia with italian cream cheese and truffle oil that we’ll be thinking about all Fashion Week.
