Kenneth Cole Fall 2013
By Michelle Kushner February 08,2013
DESIGNER: Kenneth Cole INSPIRATION: “Urban Liberation” TRENDS: Kenneth Cole has always been one to embrace the zeitgeist, and he did just that at his Fall 2013 show. With a catchy video installation, Cole encouraged his audience to embrace our social media culture and “Yield to Social Netwalking”. His fall collection was a modern interpretation of a city wardrobe. Models checked their Iphones as they walked the runway, making the clothes feel like they were already a part of our urban landscape. From metallic reflectors to perforated hoodies and leather accents, his models looked fierce and ready for whatever comes next. PALLETTE: Blacks, whites and grays followed by olives, hunters and shades of red. WHO WAS THERE: Brooke Shields, Heidi Klum, Cuba Gooding Jr. WHO SHOULD WEAR IT: Tough city girls and tech addicts.
