Actress Naya Rivera, who plays Cheerios squad member Santana Lopez on the hit show Glee, attended the PalyFest Icon Award 2013 Honoring for Ryan Murphy in Monique Lhuillier pieces accessorized with a Diane von Furstenberg clutch. The occasion, which not only meant to acknowledge Murphy but also to celebrate the best of television by creating interaction between the creative community and fans, called for cocktail attire, and Rivera’s outfit was a hit. Her structured peplum top, hip hugging graphic pencil skirt, and black strappy heels were the perfect choices for eveningwear fashion that’s fresh, not stuffy. An over the top ensemble would have been out of touch with Glee’s young, fun loving fan base. Rather, Rivera’s look can easily be recreated for less and worn anywhere from the office (add a blazer) to a night out on the town (ditch the blazer), giving Gleeks everywhere the opportunity to get their Santana style on this spring.
