Patrick Robinson is A|X Armani Exchange’s New Creative Director
By Channing Hargrove March 22,2013
Patrick Robinson may have stepped away from fashion after his departure from his position at the Gap, but the designer is coming back—in a major way.
In addition to the clothing line that he just launched on Kickstarter, Paskho, Robinson accepted a role as the new creative director for A|X Armani Exchange. This marks his first return to the corporate side of fashion after he was dismissed from Gap in 2011 where he was the president of design for Gap Adult and GapBody, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Outside of his time at Gap, he has plenty of experience as artistic director at Paco Rabanne in Paris, creative director for Perry Ellis’ women’s sportswear line, making him a valuable asset to the design house. His responsibilities in his new role will include product development, providing creative direction for marketing, and no doubt adding his distinct style to liven up the brand.
