A group of very smart & style-savvy online names recently nominated GlamChic for a Fabbie Award, a flattering accolade which is bestowed annually to the best fashion and style-related blogs. Not to get all needy in the “make me your prom-queen” kind of way, but if you like what you’ve been reading for the past year or so, skip on over to the online voting booth and click on the box next to GlamChic. Even if I don’t come away with a crown, it’s cool to be considered alongside such stellar sites. Who am I kidding: I want to win, so vote ASAP, and help your online editor out!
While reading up on Glamscene’s Teen Choice coverage I couldn’t help but notice that many of the young hopefuls hitting the carpet were already working fall trends—albeit more subdued, youthful versions of those styles seen on the runway. Happily, the majority of bold-faced names at the event went for age-appropriate attire. Here’s a sampling of some of the more successful looks:

If you didn’t read it already, I’d suggest skipping on over to GlamScene to read the Q&A with the stunning Christy Turlington. It’s hard to pick favorites in the ‘90s supermodel dream team (Linda, Naomi, Helena, etc) but in my book, Christy trumps all. I could go into all the reasons why she’s amazing (cool husband, thoughtful business sense, the fact that the Costume Institute modeled their mannequins after Turlington’s own visage, etc) but that would only slow you down from catching up on what the model-turned-business maven is reading, wearing, and shopping for. x S.C.
