Ocean-Inspired Entertaining

I’ve been noticing a trend towards ocean-inspired entertaining this spring, and it’s such a refreshing movement as we head into the warmer months! Even better…several of the new tabletop & cookware products that are making their debut in this category have a very contemporary feel. Great style AND the relaxing, kickback tone of seaside living? What a perfect combo! Here are a few favorites that are just perfect for a spring lunch or evening celebration with friends:

modern ocean placemats and napkins

Pictured above: I’m especially loving this Koi and Sakana Placemat & Napkin combo ($6.95 - $8.95) accented with flowing algea and swimming fish and a contemporary take on a “scale” pattern, just toss in a pair of chopsticks and some sake - and you’re all set for sushi!

ocean inspired tableware & dishes

Pictured above: fantastic finds from contemorary favorite Crate & Barrel: vibrant blue Santiago and moss-green Cabo goblet-style summer drink glasses, perfect for sipping Sea-Through Sangria or Tropical Margaritas ($6.95/ea); fabulous fish-shaped Pesce Mosaic Plate ($12.95); sparkling beaded Starfish Candleholders ($4.95 ea); super mod, oversized Ditto Cooler ($3.95); and earthenware Marin Fish Bowls, super cute for serving up that seafood pasta! ($8.95/small or $32.95/large).
