File this one under incredible culinary adventure. Every now and then, an especially exclusive opportunity presents itself, and for those passionate about the palate, this is one of them. Celebrity chef Mark Bittman is participating in a weekend of culinary delight at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Cancun and you’re invited to chop, sauté, and grill with the master himself. Small detail: you’ll be doing so in a state-of-the-art kitchen overlooking the Carribbean.

The extremely limited package be served up over November 16-18, allowing 8 couples the chance to mix and mingle with the How To Cook Everything author as he shares his instruction and tricks of the trade during hands-on cooking lessons. Guests will get cooking alongside Bittman in the hotel’s culinary center that boasts views as hot as its stainless steel Viking appliances.

The class schedule will feature a course on the cuisine of the Yucatan, which will include a trip to local fish and produce markets where participants can snatch up the freshest ingredients before returning to class. After the ingredients become meals, they’ll be taken outside to the terrace where they’ll be washed down with a selection of Mexican wines.

One of the other highlights of the weekend is an outdoor barbeque with the James Beard award-winner, chased by a sampling of the hotel’s collection of more than 100 tequilas. Attendees will also experience a traditional Mexican brunch and a day-trip to visit local eateries followed by relaxation, Ritz-style, with leisure activities and a couple’s massage at the hotel’s award-winning spa. The day will be capped off by a “dine-around” at the hotel’s AAA five-diamond restaurants, featuring menus created by Bittman.

It costs $5,800 per couple for two days but that’s a lot of flavor packed into one weekend. Plus it allows for suite accommodations at the famous five-diamond hotel.
Truly, a tempting morsel for gastronomic adventurers and gourmet newbies alike.

The CW’s Gossip Girl. You know you love it.
Apparently, so do the folks at New York City’s Franklin Hotel, located (appropriately) on the Upper East Side. They’ve designed a new Live Like Gossip Girl girlfriend getaway package.
The package includes a two-night stay in an executive king room, a $100 gift certificate to Henri Bendel, a $100 gift certificate for dinner at M Bar at the Mansfield Hotel, admission for two to the Metropolitan Museum, a Gossip Girl guide to NYC and limousine car service for an hour.

The cost to live like Blair and Serena for a few days? $999 for the whole package.
Just make sure you bring some extra cash for Bendel’s; $100 doesn’t sound like enough to dress like them, too.
Check out the Live Like Gossip Girl Package at the Franklin Hotel here.

Ever wondered how Angelina flies? We’re not positive, but you can be pretty darn sure she’s probably not waiting in long security lines, or carrying her own bag, for that matter.
According to a story in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, airlines “roll out the red carpet” for VIP travelers, especially those of the Hollywood variety. We’re talking special waiting rooms, limo service, police escorts, the whole shebang.
But, unbeknownst to the average passenger, you, too, can get a little VIP treatment. The story’s author, Scott McCartney, points to American Airlines‘ “Five Star” service at LAX, where you’ll get quickly shuttled through security to your gate or lounge. There’s also Airport Assistance Worldwide and LJR & Associates, which offer speedier check-in, baggage handling and peace of mind (for about $100, of course).
