As all the young college kids are packing up their bikinis and club gear, and are off to spring break, I’m seriously jealous. Outside my window the sun is shining, the blue sky is calling me; it’s time for a vacation! Sadly, my passport doesn’t have nearly enough stamps in it, and I’m determined to change that ASAP! Although my fist inclination is to head to a warm beach and included cabana service (mai tais please!), I need to expand my horizons, visit a location with culture, history and sites (and of course fabulous shopping). Several Network posts have caught my attention and it’s time to book a flight. So where should I go?
Designers Block just returned from a week in Paris. Her flea market finds and amazing photos make me want to hop on the Concord tonight!
How about Asia? Let’s Visit Asia has the scoop on low fares and great tours, but what I really want is a stay at the incredible Sofitel Phokeethra Krabi Resort in a Thailand rainforest!!
How could I resist Rome’s hidden gem, Testaccio Market. Shortcut to Europe has me excited about Italy. Ciao Bellas!
Maybe I will stay stateside. Here’s what’s tempting me…
Finally something remarkable in Washington, the flowers! The DC Traveler has lots of info on the White House Spring Garden Tours.
Possibly I’ll head to the other Washington, Seattle! Thankfully The Seattle Traveler has the latest scoop on local events and advice on what to pack!
Stay classy,
Annie
P.S. Are you headed to NYC, LA, Dallas, Nashville, or Mami? Check out Glam’s advice for what to pack!
P.P.S. Do you have other great travel spots I should check out? Let me know!

I just keep an ongoing list of places that I want to visit. Of course, it changes frequently, but here it is in its current state:

[…] It’s getting to be that awkward time of year again. The sun is shinning regularly (in most parts of the country, my apologies to the snow bunnies) and the skirts, shorts and dresses are calling your name- so, of course one needs a lil’ bit of color to their skin. I’d love to take a vaction, lounge on the beach all day, soak up the sun, and get an authentic bronzed glow, but that won’t be happening anytime soon- for two reasons: 1. skin damage/cancer, and 2.The only light I get during the day is from my computer screen (and tanning booths are simply out of the question, please refer to reason number 1). I have explored the Network for tips and reviews on the best self-tanners on the market. Here is the 411 on getting a safe and speedy tan… […]
