A Bangs Blunder

I recently committed one of the worst hairstyle sins ever! I cut bangs (for a girl with curly hair, that’s big (hair pun intended)). I had always toyed with the idea, wanting to camouflage my four-finger forehead, and finally just went for it (Reece’s hot new fringe was a motivator too). What was I thinking? My cropped front locks are fine when I’ve straightened my hair, pinned it back, or sporting a headband, but au natural curls sans accessories just isn’t working. I thought I’d scour the Network for a few tips on how to manage my bangs mishap. Here are a few posts offering hope on how to rock ‘em…

Even if Gwen, Alicia, Nelly and Janet can pull of the oversized bangs, I’m worried that I have fallen victim to a timely trend! Check out Hip Candy for the style verdict!

Allie is Wired featured a shot of Christina Ricci rockin’ the trend. Clearly sedu straight is a hot look.

Couture in the City advises a precautionary stylist consultation before the big chop, and apparently the side swept bang is long gone.

I’m liking Jessica Alba style from Celebrity Hair Styles Magazine, And I’m definitely going to attempt to weave my new bangs into braids like Rachel McAdams.

It looks like I am going to have to stick with my straightening iron and/or bobbi pins while the bangs grow out, but I’m excited to try out some of these celeb styles at home!

Stay classy,

Annie
