Vintage Vigor

I’ve always been interested in vintage fashion. I fantasize about creating an eclectic collection of Pucci, Missoni, or Chanel; a closet to rival Sienna Miller, Nicole Richie, or the Olsen girls- I know, a little bit out of my league, but a girl can dream! Iconic designers aside, I’m always on the hunt for a stylish piece with a little history (minus the rips, stains and snags). I love ebay, thrift stores, my mom’s jewelry box, vintage boutiques; it’s thrilling to find that one of kind piece amidst piles of rubbish (”One man’s trash is another man’s treasure”).  Here are great articles on vintage fashion from the Glam Network

Debutante Clothing offers a list of Top Vintage Picks for 2007. This is what I’ll be on the look out for!

Not wanting to sift through the thrift store racks? Hit the web! Check out Catwalk Queen’s list of Top Vintage sites to visit!

For the vintage enthusiast or those weary of second-hand finds, check out the book Alligators, Old Mink and New Money: One Woman’s Adventures in Vintage Clothing, reviewed by Trashionista!

How amazing are these Levine sling backs from the late 1950’s? Zurburbia knows where to get ‘em!

I’m devastated I missed the Vintage Fashion Expo that came to San Francisco last month. Thankfully, Coquette took tons of great pictures. I’ll definitely be attending the next show in September!

Stylist, Rachel Zoe, has joined the Halston board to re-launch the label. Shrimpton Couture covers the vintage enthusiast’s role at the collector’s favorite design house.

 Stay classy,

Annie

P.S. What’s your favorite blast-from-the-past piece in your collection?
