Ohhhh, the most dreaded time of year…swimsuit shopping season!! Every spring/summer, I try my best to avoid, procrastinate, and give myself enough time transform into a tanned and toned goddess, but that never seems to work out. Every year I tend to find my bikinis online or from a catalog- I’ve found that dressing rooms never seem to cast possible purchases in a positive light (pun intended, and who can trust those mirrors anyway), or maybe I subconsciously think the bandeau top and scoop bottom come with the added bonus of Giselle’s bod! Yeah, that’s probably it. This season’s swimsuit buy will be different, I have compiled advice, tips, and finds from several publishers on surviving the process…

GlamSpree highlights the fun styles and shopping ease of J.Crew’s swimfinder. I have to agree, I find great suits their every summer!

I’m liking the Lisa Curran bikinis too. California Style spotlights the celebs that do too!

My Fashion Life points out that bright colors and bold patterns will reign supreme this season, and has proof straight from the runway!

Fashion Inc has found sexy bikinis from Le Doux and Victoria’s Secret.

With these great tips and selections, I will be purchasing from the web once again!

I love finding style inspiration in star looks from the tabloids, movie costumes, or TV show wardrobes. Who didn’t purchase a name-plate necklace a la Carrie Bradshaw, or try on a pair of Nicole Richie’s oversized shades. Even major fashion designers are finding inspiration in Tinsletown’s finest. Herchcovitch’s Dumpster Chic mimicked Mary Kate, Michael Kors spring models looked straight out of Center Stage, and I won’t even get into ABS Oscar gowns. My interests in celebrity designers, as well as my efforts to get fit and fabulous, have me super excited about this news: Scarlett Johansson has teamed up with Reebok to design a sporty and stylish line of athletic wear, Scarlett Hearts Rbk. The starlet’s collection of colorful tanks and comfy hoodies can be worn in and out of the gym, perfectly suited for running on the treadmill or running errands. From retro inspired sneakers to sweatshirts with heart-shaped cutouts, the pieces have a feminine touch with an urban edge.
