In honor of Fête Nationale, treat yourself to something French, and I mean more than just a croissant. Even the basics, such as everyday glasses and baskets are better when they’re French. Here are a few sources I love when I’m in the mood for a little French style.
Basic French
This charming store in Red Hook, NY also has a great product selection online. The name delivers and you can find all of the best French basics from soaps and towels to tabletop and baskets.

Enamel Plaques, Welcome (Bienvenue), Toilet (Toilettes), Office (Bureau), Bathroom (Bains), Private (Privé), No Smoking (Defense de Fumer), Bedroom (Chambre) or Baby (Bébé), $13 each

Willow Baskets, eight sizes, handmade in France, with washable linen/cotton lining, $65-$180
Mothology
An online source for one my favorite companies, Vagabond Vintage Furnishings, shop here for great barware, pillows, lighting, and interesting objects. This is an American company and things aren’t made in France, but they are wonderful reproductions of some of the best French flea market finds.

French Franc Bistro Dishes, $9.50 each

French Cafe Wine Glasses, $8.25 each
French General
This is great source for fabrics, linens, and pretty trinkets, but French General is best if you’re in a creating mood. I love all of the notions and kits, such as the paper euphemera, shown at top.

Cast Iron Birds, $14-$22
Happy Bastille Day!
