I’m not really crafty, but I’ve found myself enticed into the handmade world once again with the promises of beautiful flower bouquets and charming glitter cards. Martha Stewart has just introduced two new lines of crafting projects and supplies at, believe it or not, Wal-Mart. Yes, Wal-Mart!
Along with fun things like glitters and paper punches, the Martha Stewart Create collection includes scrapbooking sets, kids’ projects, and kits for making cards, jewelry, flowers, and more. I think the tissue paper flowers, pictured above, almost pass for real! Martha Stewart Celebrate is wedding central with ready-to-use favors, decorations, and invitations. My favorite is the white eyelet theme.
The collections are available at more than 3,500 Wal-Mart stores and many products are also available at www.walmart.com. Prices range from $1.88 to $24.97–amazing!

Crepe Paper Black-Eyed Susan Kit, $9.97–makes 18
Have fun!

Those are pretty nice kits for the permanent decor market. They look rather nice, especially in the pictures, and Ms. Stewart generally puts out a good product (though not usually at Wal Mart).

Wow, so now Martha Stewart has started selling her things at Walmart? To be honest, Martha Stewart is too big a name to stick with a company that is falling apart (=K Mart). The move to Walmart is a good move for her enterprise, but it will also be great for consumers who mostly shop at Walmart anyway. I’m no fan of Walmart, most of their items are low quality items, but let’s face it, this is a real and practical move on her part.
