Ron Abuelo Inspires Creative Summer Sippers

Get the best of the Caribbean without resorting to clichéd measures like paper umbrellas and coconuts to quench your summertime thirst. It’s time to think outside the frothy, sugary box of pre-made drink mixes! This season, use authentic Panamanian dark oak-aged rums from Ron Abuelo to create refreshing cocktails that are perfect for low-key poolside afternoons or for festive backyard get-togethers that you can mix in a minute.

The Panamanian Soother
1 ½ cups Ron Abuelo Añejo
½ cup fresh orange juice
1 oz. agave nectar
1 package blueberries
12 sage leaves

2 bottles diet ginger beer (Barritts’ or Regatta)

*Pitcher drink; serves 8-10

In a large pitcher, muddle the berries and sage together. Then add remaining ingredients with ice and stir very well.

Lord Panama
2 oz. Ron Abuelo 7 Años
5 oz. lightly sweetened iced tea
Lime wedge

Pour the Ron Abuelo 7 Años over ice in a highball glass, then fill with lightly sweetened iced tea. Squeeze in a lime wedge. Stir to mix.
