Tomorrow is officially Turkey Day, and whether you’re heading out to visit the family or hosting the big meal yourself, that much togetherness may be in need of a little refreshment. Toast to the start of the holiday season with a few cocktails, both warm and chilly, to imbibe some holiday spirit. The Candied Yam 1 ½ oz. Bulldog Gin Shake all ingredients vigorously until well chilled and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lemon twist. Festival Fizz 1 oz. Pama pomegranate liqueur Add the pomegranate liqueur to a tall glass and top with the sparkling sake. Stir gently and garnish with a lemon twist. Café Irish Pavo 1 ½ oz. Michael Collins Blended Irish Whiskey Combine all liquids in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until well chilled and strain into a tall glass with ice and top with whipped cream For the brown sugar syrup: In a non-reactive container, mix equal parts warm water and brown sugar until completely dissolved.
Cali Mayflower 2 oz. Caliche Rum Combine the rum, lime juice, and cranberry jam or sauce in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and top with the bitters. Add cranberries to garnish. Cruzan Pumpkin Toddy 1 ½ oz. Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum Combine all ingredients in a pony glass and stir until fully combined. Top with whipped cream to garnish and drizzle additional vanilla rum on top. French Apple 1 ½ oz. Hennessy VS Add all liquids to a glass with ice. Stir until well chilled and top with a cinnamon stick and an apple fan. Garnish with grated cinnamon. For the Apple Cider Gastrique Bring brown sugar and water to a boil and add the diced apples. Simmer for 30 minutes and then add the vinegar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from the heat, allow it to cool, and then strain the mixture through cheesecloth to remove apple chunks EFFEN Spiced Chai-tini 1 ½ oz. Chai-infused EFFEN Vodka In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients over ice. Lightly shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg. For the Chai infusion: Place 3 bags of Twinnings Indian Spiced Chai Tea into a bottle of EFFEN Vodka and remove after 2 hours agitate bottle every hour. Haru Sushi’s Friendsgiving Scorpion Punch 2 oz. Amore Amaretto Fill a punch bowl with ice. Fill cocktail shaker with equal parts pineapple and orange juice and pour into the bowl. Combine the liquors, grenadine, and lime juice in cocktail shaker, shake vigorously, and pour into the bowl. Garnish with 2 sliced lemons, 2 sliced limes, two cherries, and four straws.
