Holiday How To: Set the Table

The proper placement of the silverware and plate is the easy part when creating your holiday table (salad plate on top of main plate, salad fork followed by  plate fork on the left, knife and then spoon on right, glass to their front). What’s challenging is creating an atmosphere in which your guests will really feel festive sitting down for dinner. The decor, from the centerpiece to the place setting, doesn’t have to be extravagant to muster holiday cheer. The most important thing is to stick to a theme and design that suits your home’s style. If big is your thing, take advantage of the falling branches from your Christmas tree and incorporate the aromatic pine. For a smaller table, perhaps a chic red bouquet surrounded by dainty ornaments is enough. Get inspired by some of our favorite centerpieces and place settings below and deck that table!
