Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Creative Style
By Jillian Leslie March 13,2013
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up quickly, so I’ve gathered three ideas that are perfect to help you celebrate! 1. St. Patrick’s Day Tote Bag DIY This St. Patrick’s Day tote DIY was put together by Wanessa Carolina Creations. All you need is an inexpensive bag (this one was found at Target for $2.50), a hot glue gun, and some pretty embellishments. Wouldn’t this be fun to carry around during the month of March! 2. St. Patrick’s Day Wreath DIY This St. Patrick’s Day wreath tutorial was also created by Wanessa Carolina Creations. I especially love how she combined the felt in two shades of gray with the “lucky” green to give it an elegant and sophisticated look. 3. Steel Cut Oatmeal Scones with Dried Plums Recipe We love celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a classic Irish dish, so here’s our recipe for steel-cut oatmeal scones with dried plums. The steel-cut oats give the scones a wholesome, nutty taste with a nice crunch, and the plums add the perfect touch of sweetness. We like to eat them while they are still warm — with cream, butter, or our favorite strawberry jam. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! I hope these festive ideas will help you celebrate the “wearing of the green” on St. Patrick’s Day! If you’d like to find more St. Patrick’s Day ideas and parties, head on over to Catch My Party!
