All About Moi

Here’s a bit about me:

Committed to turning my pursuit of pleasure into a career, I became a freelance food, wine, travel, and lifestyle journalist 15 years ago. Since then I have been traveling the globe and writing about the good life, pop culture, and entertaining. (Highlights include a restaurant gossip column in Los Angeles Magazine, recipe development for Every Day with Rachael Ray, tasting, recommending wines, and writing party guides for InStyle, chronicling my illustrious single life for San Francisco Magazine, and authoring The Last-Minute Party Girl: Fashionable Fearless, and Foolishly Simple Entertaining when I was single and The Real Deal Guide to Pregnancy when I was not.)

I unwittingly became part of the pervading power chick trend when I met a hot guy, got pregnant, and married in that order, and am now trying to make sense of it all with a diaper in one hand and a laptop in the other.

Still, life is good. Whether I’m covering the Maui Film Festival poolside from the Four Seasons, making a luminaria out of a colander, tasting 20 cheap Chardonnays to find three exceptional ones, wiping baby barf out of my hair, or doing a family dance around the living room to ZZTop, it’s all delicious—and fodder for this blog.

Stop by often. I’ll be regularly sharing rants and raves on food, wine, travel, motherhood, relationships, and fabulous finds for the table, house, garden, and tummy.
