Take My Tips on First Date Attire (Because I Said So!)

Dressing for a first date can be a daunting task…

While our elementary librarians instilled the “don’t judge a book by its cover rule” into our wee little brains, it’s a bit of a different story when we’re talking about a potential partner vs. a possible read.

Yep. First impressions are everything… And unless you want your personal Prince Charming to scan your “cover” and then move on to the next rack (book rack, that is) we suggest you listen up, read on, and take some tips from your favorite romantic comedy cutey pies.

Mandy Moore’s character in the film Because I said So knows how to dress for a first date. Her charming, classy, and super sweet ensembles convey a coy flirtation that any guy would go gaga for. Take a look for yourself…

Polka dot patterns always portray “cute.” Pair with a simple cardigan or blazer, and you can add instant sophistication.

Again, blazers add a mature look to any frilly, girlie-girl frock or top.

You can’t go wrong with a sweater coat… Perfect for a movie night or a casual dining experience, it relays a message of laid-back, earthy style. (Your guy will think you care about style… but that you don’t obsess about it… which of course you do!)

Half-up-half down hair is the perfect do for a date. It’s a cross between sexy, carefree and pulled together casual.

Because I Said So comes out on DVD on May 8th… so check it out for “Moore” first date looks!
