Erika started a new game of blog tag a couple of weeks ago… and after hearing from India and Susan, it’s now my turn to share 10 of my MUST-HAVE products. And while a few of these can’t-live-without-’em items might seem a little shallow, I happily embrace my inner diva and encourage you to do the same. What can’t you live without?!?… Let me know. I’m always on the quest for a new find!
Enjoy! xo
My 10 “Diva” Must-Haves
1.) Bare Escentuals… I love, love, love, love, love, loooooove this beauty brand with all my heart and soul! It’s so insanely quick, easy, and effective! As you can tell from my photo, I am verrrry fair-skinned AKA pale as a ghost. I also have the occasional (read frequent) blemish issue, “blotchyness” problem, and all-around perpetual skin “blahs.” (And don’t even get me started on my dark under-eye circles.) Well, this whole line of makeup is a miracle worker. No “icky” heavy liquid base, no “goopy” concealer; no makeup creasing into the faint cracks of my 25-year-old face. Doing makeup literally takes 5 minutes TOTAL using Bare Escentuals’ products. (And I use EVERYTHING from the powder foundation to the mineral veil to the undereye booster.) OBSESSED! And it’s so natural that you can SLEEP in it!!! (I dozed off watching the Bare Escentuals’ infommercial last night… so pardon the gushing!)

2.) Two more beauty products from Lancome:
- Fever Gloss Up in Smoke: (Not the color below, but this is what the tube looks like.) This is the glossiest gloss to ever grace my lips. It’s a glittery clear color that adds instant glamour, and gives my lips a seductive shine. LOVE.
- Fatale Mascara: The applicator is a comb that evenly distributes mascara and creates Cleopatra-like lashes. It’s the most phenomenal mascara I’ve ever applied. I’ve been batting my big browns at everyone with shameless flirtation thanks to Lancome Fatale.
3.) At the risk of you stealing my signature scent… here goes: Gardenia by Chanel perfume. Truly exquisite and delectable! I heart this fabulous fragrance. Fortunately (and unfortunately,) I shouldn’t worry about you snagging my scent, because this perfume is nearly impossible to find. (I’ve had people at the Chanel counter tell me no such scent exists.) So when I do get my hands on it, I either buy in bulk or use it sparingly!

4.) My big $10-cheapie-plastic-frame sunglasses… They get about two weeks of face time (literally) before I break ‘em… So this is another item I buy in bulk!
5.) All my gadgets! So I’m not very tech-savvy, but I do work for an online media company… so I have my absolute must-have tech toys.. like my laptop (for blogging purposes of course,) my digi-cam (for star stalking,) my cell phone (because I need to call everyone I know to report my scoop,) and my digital voice recorder (for exclusive red carpet Q&As!) Without them, I would just be your everday average celebrity-fanatic standing wide-eyed and bushy-tailed peering over the gate that separates the street and the red carpet sans purpose (in life.)

6.) Caffeinated beverages!… More specifically, I cannot function without Diet Coke (preferably of the fountain variety) and coffee (with plenty of sugar and cream – don’t even try to give me skim milk!) Not only is it delicious and nutritious, it’s the boost I need to keep me going from morning blogs to afternoon meetings to nightly red carpets.
7.) Hand Sanitizer. This town is filthy. Between cabs, subways, public bathrooms, corner delis, etc… NYC is a germaphobe’s nightmare. So that’s why I keep a big pump of sanitizer on my desk and carry those nifty Purrell towelettes with me every where I go.

8.) Another secret revealed… While I love wearing ballet flats, my absolute favorite pair of shoes is from none-other-than Payless! These tan slingbacks look Michael Kors-esque but cost me a measly $19.99. And the best part, they are soooo comfortable!!!! I don’t even have to switch to my Havianas flipflops half way through the day.

9.) Hair dye (not-the-do-it-yourself kind… but the go-to-the-salon-and-slather it on type!) For those of you who don’t know…. My hair is actually black. GASP. So are my eyebrows. So, I shamefully admit to you that I would have ghastly black eyebrows and black roots without the magic performed by my lovely colorist.
(I’ll spare you the picture of me with roots!!!)
10.) My bling!… Don’t get my wrong. I’m in no way dripping with diamonds. But the few pieces of jewelry I’ve acquired over the years are dear to me (especially since most are gifts… Okay, especially because they look so sparkly!!!) I would cry myself to sleep without my diamond studs. (They never leave me ears – except for that one time where the dog bit my earlobe and managed to chew one of my ear.) And I would be devastated without my gorgeous Judith Ripka cocktail ring. (Sometimes when I’m bored in an elevator, I just look at the way it reflects off the mirrored walls. Honestly… that’s hours worth of entertainment for me.)

GlamLive :: Get to Know the Glam Girls: 10 Things I Can’t Live Without | 28-Jun-07 at 11:51 am | Permalink
[…] From my weekend agenda to the latest recipe attemps, it may seem like I unabashedly enjoy talking about myself, but as I’ve explained before, it’s really not all that easy! I was stealthly tagged (notice the comments) by GlamScene editor, Lauren, to partake in the latest topic of the “Get To Know The Glam Girls” series- this time it’s about revealing the 10 items I can’t live without. Clearly I’m taking this much too seriously, or I’m just ashamed by my unwarranted and conspicuous consumption, because I found this task rather difficult…but enough about me, here are my 10 Must-Haves: […]
