Scoop Store Soiree

nc.jpg

Naomi Campbell hosted a fashionable little get-together at Scoop Street in the Meatpacking District. The fete was in honor of the launch of OmniPeace by Signorelli tees. The proceeds from the sales of this chic, “socially responsible” t-shirt collection will be donated to Millennium Promise, which seeks to end extreme poverty in Africa.

Naomi has experience being “socially responsible” after she was sentenced community service for apparently assaulting an assistant or two with a cell phone.

I went to the boutique bash with my digicam and voice recorder in an attempt to get the DL from Miss Campbell. Instead I got a “talk to the hand.” Okay, not really. But I was told that Naomi “just wants to have fun tonight. No press interviews!”

Well that’s not a very gracious host-like attitude. Naomi tucked away in a corner where she and a publicist/friend chitchatted among themselves and steered clear of the looming fans.

I almost disobeyed her PR rep and approached her anyway, but then feared that I’d get a beat down with my very own voice recorder. So instead I mingled among the stylish set and sipped on my sweet cocktail courtesy of Svedka… No real scoop at Scoop tonight!

xoxo,
Lauren

P.S. In case you’re wondering, she did look fabulous. Shiny sleek hair; perfectly proportioned curves… Community service has made her a “model” citizen.
