Under the terms of a plea deal, Lindsay Lohan was sentenced today to one day in jail in her DUI cases. Lohan pleaded guilty, but did not attend the hearing in Beverly Hills. (She is still in Sundance, Utah at the Cirque Lodge Rehab Center.) Luckily for her, Lindsay will not have to serve time for felony charges, as tests found she possessed an insufficient quantity of cocaine.
Lindsay’s one-day-only sentence is less severe than that of pregnant pal Nicole Richie and that of Lilo’s BFF-turned-frenemy Paris Hilton, who spent a few solemn weeks in the slammer.
In a statement, Lohan proclaimed that she, indeed, is addicted to drugs and alcohol, and is serious about her recovery.
