Fashion Week = Party Time… And last night, I hit up George Lois and Tommy Hilfiger’s Iconic America soiree at NYC’s MoMA. I arrived post-red carpet since the L.A.M.B. show was running late… but I still managed to spot a few famous faces among the happily inebriated crowd of fashionistas, publicists, and professional party hoppers!
Who: Blake Lively. You know this gorgeous girl as the athletic and angst-ridden teenager in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. However, you will soon know her as Serena Van Der Woodsen in the CW’s upcoming Gossip Girl. (I was able to preview the premiere episode – and all I can say is “Oh My God!!!” You HAVE to watch this show. It’s so deliciously good. Serious scandal.)
Why Did I Notice Her: The outgoing and bubbly blonde was vivaciously dancing with friends, sipping her champagne, and having a blast. She also had a hankering for the dessert platters. She jokingly pushed her pals out of the way to accost the server carrying the tray of mini s’mores. (Got to love a girl with a sweet tooth.)
Who: Jennifer Esposito. You know her from the dramatic and Oscar-winning film Crash.
Why Did I Notice Her: She and her friends took over and claimed the dance floor. Plus, she has those unmistakable dimples and that stunning smile.
***Who else was there?… Jeremy Piven, Martina McBride, Cuba Gooding Jr., and many other fashionable and famous elite. The celebrity-swarmed celebration previewed Iconic America: A Rollercoaster Ride Through the Eye-Popping Panorama of American Pop Culture, Tommy Hilfiger’s brand new book.***
