Nicole Richie and Joel Madden hosted a surprise baby shower yesterday for 100 expecting moms at the Los Angeles Free Clinic. The glowing celebrity couple, who have founded the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation, handed out over $200,000 worth of gifts to the moms-to-be. “The looks on their faces were priceless… Some of them didn’t even believe us. They thought we were joking!” said Richie to reporters. Freebie goodies included cribs, Baby Bjorn products, mattresses, and Fisher-Price toys.
