*The Actor for Ensemble Cast in a Feature Film goes to No Country for Old Men.

*The award goes to Julie Christie, Away From Her,  for Best Actress in a Feature Film.

*And the winner for Best Actor in a Feature Film is Daniel Day Lewis.

*Best Actress in a Supporting Role goes to … Ruby Dee, American Gangster.

*Queen Latifah wins for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Movie for her work in Life Support.

*Kevin Kline wins for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie.

*The Best Ensemble Cast in a Comedy goes to …  The Office. Ensemble work at its best.

*Tina’s counterpart, Alec Baldwin wins for Best Actor in a Comedy. (But he’s not there to accept.) Boo.

*Yay!!! Tina Fey (AKA Liz Lemon) wins for Best Actress in a Comedy her hilarious work on 30 Rock. She gives a special thank you to her co-star Alec Baldwin: “If you’ve seen me in a scene with Alec Baldwin, it’s sorta like seeing Fred Astaire dance with a hat rack. And after a while you kinda think ‘ooo that hat rack isn’t so bad …’”

*Javier Bardem wins for Best Supporting Actor in a Feature Film for his gritty performance in No Country for Old Men.

*Shall we predict who will win for Best Ensemble Cast in a Drama? … I’ll go with Sopranos! Duh. I was right! Gandolfini went up to the podium to accept the award, and poked fun at himself for giving a bad speech earlier in the evening. Gotta give him credit for calling himself out.

*Shocker. Not. (It is her third win! Fellow actors/voters love her.) Yep, Edie Falco gets the SAG for Best Actress in a Drama.

*James Gandolfini snags the first award of the night for Best Actor in a Drama Series. His speech was short and sweet. Actually, it wasn’t sweet at all. It was sorta boring and lame … and ungrateful. (But we do miss the Sopranos!)

Remembering Heath …

We were all shocked and silenced by the sad news of Heath Ledger’s death. He was found dead at 3:30 pm in an apartment in New York City. Details surrounding the circumstances of his death are still developing. The 28-year-old Australian-born actor was a renowned talent and a loving father. Ledger leaves a legend behind. Here, we honor and remember his career and life.

Highlights From Ledger’s Career

Ledger first piqued our attention as the hot new guy on campus in the 1998 teen comedy 10 Things I Hate About You. We were smitten with his natural charm and subtle humor.

In 2000, Ledger got his big break starring as Mel Gibson’s son in The Patriot, a movie about the Revolutionary War. We were moved by his performance, and he received accolades from the press and industry insiders alike.

In 2001, we saw some ahead-of-his-time dance moves in the romantic adventure film, A Knight’s Tale.

Ledger received an Oscar nomination for his role in Brokeback Mountain. He played a homosexual cowboy opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. The movie received several Oscar nominations, and catapulted Ledger into a new league of actors.

Ledger’s last film was The Dark Knight – the latest Batman movie. Ledger’s performance as the dark, cynical Joker was much publicized about.

His Life

Heath’s first Hollywood flame was bombshell blonde, Heather Graham, but their romance was short-lived. He began dating fellow Aussie Naomi Watts in 2001. Their on-again-off-again romance lasted for two years.

While filming Brokeback Mountain, Ledger fell in love with his co-star (and fictional wife) Michelle Williams. The two moved in together in a cozy Brooklyn apartment and shied from the media. In 2005, Williams gave birth to their daughter, Matilda Rose. Ledger and Williams broke up in 2007. He was rumored to be dating several actresses and models, but nothing was confirmed.

We are all saddened by his death. Stay tuned to this post for reactions from the Glam Network.
