Matthew Broderick at the Tribeca Film Festival

Who didn’t have a crush on Matthew Broderick back in the day? … He made nerdy cool (long before Liz Lemon and Jim Halpert took on the task) as the very lovable Ferris Bueller. And while he’s no longer an adorably dorky teenager, he’s still got an irresistable boyish charm. We caught up with Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker at the Tribeca premiere of his film Finding Amanda, and chatted about the flick which co-stars Brittany Snow as a young prostitute.

What attracted you to this film?
I thought it was a nice script – I liked it. I like the guy who wrote it, Peter Tolan, and I thought it was a good part.

It takes place in Sin City? Any scandalous on (or off) set stories?
I wish I did. But we shot in L.A. at the race track and pretended we were in Las Vegas.
No gambling, no Vegas.

What are your expectations for the film beyond the Tribeca Film Festival?
I don’t have any expectations. I hope people like it and see it. I hope some people see it. I haven’t seen it myself. But we all loved making it, and I hope it’s fun to watch.

As a native New Yorker, how does it feel to be at the Tribeca Film Festival?
I’m very happy. I’ve been in New York my whole life, and it’s very nice. This is good for New York I think to have something like this – almost feels like L.A.
