You may not know all their names, but you’ll soon recognize Hollywood’s freshest faces. They have talent, looks, style, and sophistication beyond their young years, and we anticipate big things for these seven rising stars.
Nina Dobrev: This lovely, fresh-faced 18-year-old is on the verge of becoming a household name. Dobrev has acted in indie films, television shows, and commercials; she’s modeled abroad and competed in gymnastics. And now her hard work and unwavering aspirations are about to pay off: She’s starring in MTV’s highly anticipated musical The American Mall, a romantic comedy set in, yes, a mall.
Amanda Seyfried: Seyfried has been making an impression for a few years now. We first noticed this wide-eyed 23-year-old actress as the silly, ditzy blonde in Mean Girls. And we love to watch her silently rebel against her polygamist family in the hit HBO series Big Love. Seyfried now stars opposite Meryl Streep in the movie adaptation of the musical Mamma Mia. She glows at the premiere of the super-fun flick in London on June 20, 2008.
Emma Roberts: Her aunt is a megastar (does the name Julia Roberts ring a bell?), so maybe it’s no wonder this 17-year-old is on track for success and stardom. The young actress attracted fans among the tween set when she starred in the title role in Nancy Drew. Since then, she’s slowly been accumulating more impressive credits on her résumé. With classic looks and a smile that rivals that of her aunt’s, this young lady is destined for big things. Roberts shows off those pearly whites at the L.A. premiere of Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl on June 14, 2008.
Emma Stone: There’s something about this 19-year-old chick’s raspy voice and smoldering stare. She’s got the sexy tomboy act down to a science. Stone piqued our attention in the slapstick coming-of-age flick Super Bad (she fell for Jonas Hill’s character), and now she stars as the adorably nerdy misfit in the upcoming comedy The House Bunny, with Anna Faris.

So there have been really interesting stories on EW, CNN, etc. etc. etc. about the Katherine Heigl “situation.” Truth is, some people love her. Others not so much.
Sometimes I think I like hate her because she’s just such a loud mouth. But then, why shouldn’t she be?!? What’s wrong with speaking your mind and being an intelligent, thought-provoking woman … Which side do you belong to? Are you a fan or foe?

“Every season, I think it’s the last … Right now, I think this is the last season. I go through phases when I’ve been filming where I wake up in the middle of the night and I think I’m being filmed. That’s when I have to take a vacation.” - Lauren Conrad in Entertainment Weekly
