I’ve been seeing a lot of commercials for the upcoming girl power flick The Women … and I have to say, I’m pretty excited to see it. There are some serious stars in this movie. Annette Bening! Meg Ryan! Jada Pinkett Smith! Debra Messing! Eva Mendes! I mean, put one of these actresses in a movie, and you’ll have a hit … let alone all five of these fabulous ladies!
It looks like The Women is about the unbreakable bonds of female friendship through thick and thin - good times and bad. It seems like an inspiring film with a strong, empowering message … and some light-hearted, cutesy, and comedic moments, of course!
The Women hits theaters on Sept. 12 … I’ll be there with a group of my gal pals. Which of your favorite “women” will you go see this movie with?

“There wasn’t a period in my life like Serena went throught, where I was doing drugs and having sex with my best friend’s boyfriend … I never went through that kind of crazy … I’ve kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff that I’ve done for TV or movies … I know I’m weird! … I hope Brad Pitt doesn’t hear this. He’s never going to want to marry me. - In an interview in Cosmopolitan Blake Lively says she’s different than her Gossip Girl alter-ego Serena van de Woodsen.
She also jokes “I don’t drink. I don’t do drugs” … But I do sleep around a lot.”

“Everybody wants to know what it was like. Penelope had less facial hair than a guy so it was certainly more pleasant. It was better than kissing Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. Kissing him wasn’t that bad, but he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene even though he’d shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him.” - ScarJo talks about kissing Penelope Cruz in Vicky Cristina Barcelona
