So there have been really interesting stories on EW, CNN, etc. etc. etc. about the Katherine Heigl “situation.” Truth is, some people love her. Others not so much.

Sometimes I think I like hate her because she’s just such a loud mouth. But then, why shouldn’t she be?!? What’s wrong with speaking your mind and being an intelligent, thought-provoking woman … Which side do you belong to? Are you a fan or foe?

Tonight I’m going to see 27 Dresses starring Katherine Heigl and James Marsden. (I kinda heart him since seeing Enchanted). 

Heigl stars as Jane, the gal who’s always a bridesmaid but never the bride … While she’s happy playing the blushing bride’s sidekick, she starts to resent her supporting role when her younger sister snags the heart of Jane’s boss — whom Jane just happens to have a major secret crush on). Katherine Heigl looks lovely as ever arriving at her Manhattan hotel. The gorgeous girl is in town promoting her upcoming romantic comedy 27 Dresses.

Upon arriving at the airport in the Big Apple, a fan handed Heigl a box of Nicorette patches. (I love that … and couldn’t agree more. She’s constantly photographed puffing at cigarettes. It really detracts from her appeal. She really ought to quit smoking)!

P.S. I actually heart the matchy-matchy Burberry scarf and heels.

Katherine Heigl and her brand-new hubby, Josh Kelley, looked happy as can be last night at the premiere of her new film 27 Dresses in Los Angeles. Heigl rocked the retro-chic-Old-Hollywood starlet look that has landed her on the top of many a best-dressed list.

Heigl got to chatting about her Mexican honeymoon with eager reporters on the red carpet … When asked what stood out about the trip, she replied “The Pina Coladas!!!”

I knew I liked this gal.

So, I know a lot of you adore Katherine Heigl… (And don’t get me wrong, up until today I’ve had nothing but good things to say about the Grey’s girl.) But now, seeing this photo, I’m starting to wonder what all the fuss is about.

Here, Heigl has lunch yesterday at a Los Angeles eatery with a girlfriend. Her gal pal should’ve ushered her right out of the café upon seeing her wearing that old-lady, unflattering sweater. She looks so plain Jane. (And, again, don’t get me wrong, I respect her casual, carefree, no-frills-for-the-paparazzi-I’m-an-everyday-regular-girl style.) But, I just don’t like this look one bit. And I also absolutely hate that she’s perpetually photographed with a cigarette in hand. To quote my mom, “that’s just so not cool.”

On a sidenote, the paparazzi asked Heigl if she had any updates on the writer’s strike. She laughed, and said “Nobody tells me anything… No one cares what I think anyway.”

P.S. I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Excuse the jaded posts…

Love or hate Grey’s Anatomy, you can’t help but like Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight. They’re co-stars and best friends. They’re normal. They go see movies together. They don’t dress to the nines for the sake of the paparazzi. They appreciate their fans.

Not for Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl. The Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series had a leisurely lunch at L.A. hotspot, the Ivy on Monday, a mere twelve hours after her big win! A giddy Heigl graciously signed autographs for fans and chatted with photographers while having a smoke.

Heigl looks so relaxed and breezy!… It doesn’t even look like she’s wearing makeup. (Love that about her… Now I’m even happier about her win.)

The actress has admitted that noone in her family thought she had a shot in the dark at snagging an Emmy this year – her mother especially, who was sure that one of the Sopranos’ leading ladies would take the trophy!
