I. Celebrities at the Billy Joel Concert 

Celebrities get their groove on to Billy Joel’s tunes on August 4. His performance was part of the Hampton Social at Ross concert series in the Hamptons.

Celebrities had a blast on Saturday night at the Hampton Social at Ross concert series. Saturday night’s stellar performance was given by Long Island musical icon, Billy Joel.

Renee Zellweger danced and clapped all night long; as did Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. The sweet couple sung to each other and stole kisses throughout the evening. Ripa recently revealed the secret to her 11-year marriage in August’s Redbook; “We argue, but we know how to compromise.”

A little less energetic in the VIP crowd was media mogul/ radio personality extraordinaire, Howard Stern. He was nodding off throughout the Piano Man’s concert! Good thing his girlfriend Beth Ostrosky was there to nudge him awake.

Jon Bon Jovi was another A-list audience member. He attended with his daughter, Stephanie Rose. Mary-Kate Olsen was there looking mysterious as ever in an all-black ensemble topped off with a chic fedora hat.

II. Elsewhere in the Hamptons… Christie Brinkley Gets Down and Dirty in the Barnyard

Christie Brinkley, a Hamptons regular, got cozy on Saturday afternoon with, er,  a goat at the 18th Annual Family Wild, Wild West Carnival in Water Mill, New York. The lovely supermodel surprised and possibly even dismayed stuffy Hamptontines when she climbed over a gate, pulled up hay stack stool, and played with the animals at the petting zoo.

The barnyard beauty looked lovely as ever in her cowgirl-chic ensemble complete with straw hat. The children couldn’t get enough of Brinkely was happily asking them about their favorite animals.

Brinkley, who clearly isn’t afraid to get down and dirty (and perhaps a little stinky,) hosted the benefit that raises money for the National Women’s Division of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

III. One Final Hamptons Hotspot… Brooke Shields Hosts a Polo Tournament

Brooke Shields left Manhattan for a weekend in the Hamptons. She hosted Saturday’s installment of the Mercedes Benz-sponsored Polo tournament in Bridgehampton, New York. Shields posed with husband Chris Hency and adorable daughters Rowan Francis and Grier Hammond.

Shields was polished as a haute Hamptons “hobnobber” ought to be in her very summer friendly little white dress, and Jackie O. shades.

The tournament attracts many noteworthy A-listers like Debra Messing, Michelle Rodriguez, and other East Coast celebrities.

WHAT: Pastis. It is the NYC brunch spot. The shabby chic 1930’s-esque Parisian bistro where downtown Manhattanites hobnob with the visiting L.A. elite- where even the skinniest celebrities and models indulge in an order of sinfully delicious steak frites. (And who could blame ‘em? Those downtown divas deserve a yummy reward for braving the wobbly Meatpacking streets in their five-inch stilettos and mini-skirts!!!)

WHERE: Duh. Pastis. 9 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY 10014.

WHO: Pastis’ VIP diners include: Sienna Miller, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Bosworth, Ashley Olsen, Gwen Stefani, Bono, Penelope Cruz, Uma Thurman, and Ashlee Simpson, to name a few.

Miss Jamie Lynn Sigler goes there before hitting up the Gansevoort. Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa go there to lunch with the kiddies. Liv Tyler even hosted her wedding reception brunch there! Jessica and Nick used to brunch there. (I suppose Nick takes Vanessa there nowadays. And maybe Jess eats there with John!)

Oh, and look for Pastis featured regularly on Sex & The City repeats…But I digress!

WHY: Point is… This place is perpetually packed with pretty people… so bring your autograph book (or perhaps a digi-cam is less “touristy”) and sport your skinny jeans and ankle boots. You’ll fit right in! And, yes, do order the steak frites. They’re the best.

I am so very glad that I made it in time for arrivals to the premiere of Curtains on Broadway. I was running late and was halfway tempted to skip out. Good thing I didn’t. It was an amazing celebrity turnout. We’re talking everyone from Danny DeVito to Kelly Ripa to Nathan Lane to Sarah Jessica Parker!

Slight hiccup. There was momentary pandemonium when it started to rain! It literally poured for 60 seconds, and then stopped. But those 60 seconds were filled with pure panic for the publicists, photographers, reporters and red carpet VIPs! Everyone just started screaming and running and searching for cover. (Everyone except for me of course.) A little rain (translation: a LOT of rain) wasn’t going to deter me when I saw that  Jane Krakowski, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were all passing by. (Granted… they, too, were bolting for cover - so no Q&As from them - but I did manage to get a couple of pics.

The rain suddenly stopped and things returned to normal… well, as normal as a red carpet can possibly be! So stay tuned throughout the next couple of days for celebrity interviews (and photos) with Mary Louise Parker and her beautiful, handsome specimen of a boyfriend, Jeffrey Dean Morgan (aka Denny on Grey’s Anatomy.) Plus, quotes from SPJ, Nathan Lane and a whole lot more… all from the premiere of Curtains! Here’s a couple of pics to hold you over…

So, I’m off to two events tonight. (It’s tough being popular!)

First stop is the red carpet at the Broadway premiere of the show Curtains… which sounds HILARIOUS by the way! (I heart musicals!… Seriously, I drive people crazy with my show tune obsession.) Anyway, expected attendees include Miss SJP and her cute chubby-hubby Matthew Broderick, Anne Hathaway, Kelly Ripa and a few more VIPs! I’ll do my best to snag some great interviews and take some good pics! (Check back tomorrow morn for the scoop.)

Second stop is the grand opening of the brand new haute spot, D’Or at the Amalia. I went there for the Zac Posen fashion show after party and it was awesome! (And that was before the place was even finished!) So, in a word I’m PSYCHED! Bloody Social will be performing AKA Sienna Miller’s new boyfriend! I’ll report on the scene tomorrow… TTYL!
