Backstage there was no more drama by the time Mary J. Blige and friends arrived to greet designer Michelle Smith.
The songstress took a seat across the runway from Julia Stiles, who showed off her impeccable styles in a Milly frock. Elisabeth Hasselbeck enjoyed the view from the front row while Dreama Walker and Yin Chang gossiped about their favorite collection stand-outs.

Victoria Beckham wears her sunglasses at night arriving for the Marc Jacobs show … Later, she posed for photogs draped on Marc’s arm. Other celebrities there included Selma Blair, Sophia Bush, Molly Sims, Gretchen Mol, Ellen Pompeo, and Kevin Federline. Perhaps there would have been more stars there if the show had started a little later. (The MJ show is notorious for starting hour(s) late, and this time around, the production started only 22 minutes after the scheduled time.) But behind that innocent smile is a “scandalous” story. Yes, I’ve been living under a rock for the past year … (Sue me. I don’t know my socialite stories.) In case you’re as clueless as I was on her dirty dish, here’s the scoop on Fashion-Week regular Ms. Olivia Palermo.
New York Magazine revealed her story (in May of ’07) in diagram form:
Apparently, a Palermo impostor wrote a letter to the top NYC socialites begging for their friendship and forgiveness. The letter was published on the former gossip site Social Rank … and all hell broke loose on the Upper East Side.
