I have been struggling with the above question since July 1st… There are so many great options this month. Should I go with the seriously steamy Josh Duhamel or Claire Dane‘s hottie, Hugh Dancy, or how about the other five or six seriously sexy guys who are lighting up the silver screen this summer? It was a difficult decision, but I finally narrowed it down to two – yes, that right – two It Guys of the month. Today, I’ll be highlighting Shia LeBouf, and Monday I’ll be featuring our second, mystery man of the month. And then I challenge YOU to comment and vote for which beau you prefer as our favorite guy in July!

It Guy 1 of 2: Shia LeBouf

This is one seriously lucky kid… Lucky and talented kid. Shia, 21, got his big break on the hit Disney program, Even Stevens, playing the part of a pesky younger brother with some serious sibling-rivalry-related schemes up his sleeve. After a few years crafting his art via this sugary-sweet television series, LeBouf was through with his Disney days, and was prepared to tackle Hollywood.

After a few bit roles in films like Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, I, Robot, and Constantine, Shia got a coveted leading role in the very under-appreciated, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. But it wasn’t until his starring gig in Disturbia, that Shia piqued the public’s attention. In what seemed like seconds, Shia became an instant cinematic sensation. But don’t be fooled. It wasn’t pure luck that brought him such success. There’s a definite reason for his sudden superstardom. This boy’s got talent. His performance in the highly-anticipated Transformers is proof that he’s more than a cute face. But if you need more convincing that Shia is here to stay, then stick around and watch him act alongside Harrison Ford in the Fourth Installment of Indiana Jones Adventure, due out in 2008.
