Kelly from YogaCoffeeOutlook sent me this today (thanks Kelly!). Thought I’d share my chuckle in case you haven’t seen it:
As a structural bodyworker I’m not a big proponent of using the balance ball at work. It is an incredible exercise tool. However, contracting the stomach muscles for prolonged periods of time can actually make you an angry person, not the lean muscle machine that we aspire to be. To improve posture go for a chair that keeps your feet square on the floor, thighs at right angles to your shins and a straight tall back (not concave or pelvis pulling forward).

I was just wondering about this today, Becky! I’ve been thinking about getting a balance ball chair for work, but I think you’ve changed my mind. I do think i need a new chair thought. My sciatica is not happy. Oh and I love the Office, btw. It’s my second favorite show next to Scrubs, of course!
