In honor of Erika’s August is Baby Month, I thought I’d share a must-have baby video for new mothers. It’s called Happiest Baby on the Block. I watched in amazement as my dear friend soothed her cranky crying baby in less than 3 minutes.
She swadled the baby in a blanket, turned the baby on his left side, and “shhhhh”‘ed him to sleep. Miraculous.

I think I saw the author on the Oprah show the other day. I tried using it on my daughter and she was too old for it.

Really, really wonderful technique, philosophy, instruction, everything. Can’t say enough positive things about this DVD. If you’re having a baby, get this disc. I think this technique is only applicable to newborns, though. My daughter wouldn’t have it beyond a few weeks, but I believe it is phenominal for the fussy baby. Great site Rebecca.
