Yoga Book: Poses for Holistic Health

Every time I update the Wellness page on Glam.com I delight in selecting my “Editor’s Must Have” for the top right slot. I enjoy it because it is an effortless practice for me - there are countless books, CDs, DVDs and products that help promote wellness in one way or another.
This week I’ll be sure to include a book from one of the most influencial yoga teachers of our time, B.K.S. Iyengar. One of my all-time favorites of his is called Yoga: The Path to Holistic Health.

This book is the perfect reference book; it is chock-full of beautiful pictures to illustrate the fundamental asanas (poses) of yoga. It is perfect for anyone looking to build a solid foundation of a yoga practice.
In addition, my favorite part is the index of poses that relieve specific ailments like back pain, insomnia, menstrual pain and fatigue - just to name a few.
Here’s an excellent more detailed review of this book from ButYouDon’tLookSick.
