Read a Book, Plant a Tree

Did you know:

About 20 Million trees are cut down annually for virgin paper used for the production of books sold in the U.S. alone.

There’s a neat website that helps reverse the cycle of destruction by planting trees on our behalf. Just click over to Eco-Libris and decide how many books you’d like to balance.
Customers receive a sticker made of recycled paper for every book they balance and can display these stickers on every book they read.

Trees get planted in highly sustainable locations in Latin America and Africa, where deforestation is a crucial problem. Planting trees there not only helps to fight climate change and conserve soil and water, but also benefits many local people.
